> **Sooyoung** (수영) is a South Korean Female Soloist and Idol who debuted solo in 2024. She started in group Girls' Generation.

Sooyoung cultivated an interest in singing and performing from a young age. Her unique pre-debut path included a brief career in Japan where she debuted as part of a duo called "Route 0" in 2002, even before joining Girls' Generation. After this experience, she was scouted by SM Entertainment and underwent further training. As a lead dancer and vocalist in Girls' Generation,

Sooyoung was known for her sense of style and strong acting abilities. Following her decision to leave SM Entertainment in 2017, she fully transitioned into a successful acting career, starring in various television dramas and films.

Sooyoung was involved in a significant car accident on August 28, 2011. The incident occurred when she was traveling from Seoul to Cheonan, reportedly for volunteer work assisting the visually impaired. The car Sooyoung was riding in was struck by a vehicle coming from the opposite direction. This collision resulted in Sooyoung fracturing her sacral vertebrae. The injury was serious enough to force her to immediately withdraw from Girls' Generation's ongoing promotions. Following the accident, she required rest and treatment for her recovery before returning to activity.
