Born on October 4, 1995, in Hwaseong, South Korea, and spent his childhood with a younger sister, eventually majoring in science during high school. He was discovered by a talent scout at a subway station in 2013 and joined Pledis Entertainment as one of the final members to enter the lineup, training for approximately two years. Despite the grueling schedule that led him to consider quitting early on, he persevered and became the group’s mediator due to his age and personality. He debuted as a lead vocalist within the Vocal unit.
