Jeongyeon

Jeongyeon
Jeongyeon (정연) is a South Korean Female Artist. She started in group Twice.

Jeongyeon, whose older sister is actress Gong Seung-yeon, developed an interest in music early on. She passed JYP Entertainment's open audition in 2010. She legally changed her name from Yoo Kyungwan at nine years old.

In her trainee period, she also did some commercials and worked as a model, until finally her efforts paid off in the Survival "Sixteen" where she secured her place in Twice.

Underwent cervical surgery around 2020 for a herniated disc. While some rumors (never confirmed) arose regarding the possibility of Cushing's syndrome, which can lead to weight gain, it's widely understood that her temporary weight fluctuations were more directly related to medication for her herniated disc and an anxiety disorder she experienced during that period.

The precise cause of her weight changes was not officially confirmed but it is understood it is a medical condition.
