한 Soojin

Soojin (수진) is a South Korean Female Soloist and Idol who debuted solo in 2023. She started in group I-dle.

Soojin started as a trainee under DN Entertainment, where she was set to debut with the group Vividiva using the stage name N.Na around 2015, but she left before their debut. She then joined Cube, where she did a few promotional activities for the company before officially debuting with (G)I-DLE.

In 2021, three years after debuting with (G)I-DLE, Soojin became targeted online by severe school bullying rumors, including from actress Seo Shinae, who claimed to be bullied by Soojin in middle school. Soojin vehemently denied the allegations, which included claims of her being violent and extorting classmates. Despite her denials and the lack of any proof from the accusers, Cube didn't seem too inclined to defend her. Less than a month after the accusations started, her activities were halted, and eventually, she was removed from (G)I-DLE.

The situation was widely criticized by fans due to Cube's fast action without any due process or proof. Soojin filed a criminal complaint against her accusers for spreading false information. While the police could not conclude that the accusations were false from the accusers' perspective, the case was settled out of court, and Soojin decided not to pressure it further, as it would be a lengthy legal battle. Soojin's legal team later stated that a school committee had found her not guilty of bullying and even indicated she had been a victim herself in a separate incident.

Cleared of the accusations, Soojin made her solo debut in November 2023, returning to the music industry successfully and with the full support of her fans.
