한 Jeon Soyeon

Jeon Soyeon (소연) is a South Korean Female Soloist and Idol who debuted solo in 2017. She started in group I-dle.

Initially Soyeon wanted to be a dancer, and was in a Dance academy. In an audition where all her classmates passed, she ended up failing because the CD she was going to dance for failed and she coundl't properly perform. Because of this failure, she ended up auditioning for Cube Entertainment as a rapper and was accepted, thus shifting her focus for a singer/rapper approach. She later reminisced that if she had passed her Dance audition, she wouldn't have tried Cube audition.

Soyeon participated in the survival show Produce 101, where she was recognized for her rapping and performance despite some criticism about her appearance. She made it to the semi-finals but where eliminated.

Soyeon studied and practiced songwriting and composing in her spare time since early in her life, creating a solid base that she capitalized later in her career.
