EXO (엑소) is a South Korean Boy Group that debuted in 2012. They consist of 9 members: Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Chen, D.O., Kai, Lay, Sehun and Xiumin.
They hold the 3rd most Music Show Awards among all artists in Korea. They are the 17th most streamed artist in Korea.
Their breakthrough came in 2013 with their first studio album XOXO and its repackage Growl, which collectively sold over one million copies, making them the first Korean artists in 12 years to achieve this milestone.
EXO faced challenges with the departure of three Chinese members (Kris, Luhan, and Tao) between 2014-2015 due to legal disputes with SM Entertainment. Despite this, the group reorganized into one unit and maintained significant popularity, releasing numerous hit albums and singles. They are known for their strong vocal performances, intricate choreography, and consistent chart success, establishing themselves as one of K-pop's leading boy groups with multiple million-selling albums and large-scale world tours.
