한 Members of RESCENE

RESCENE (리센느) is a South Korean Girl Group that debuted in 2024. They consist of 5 members: Woni, Liv, May, Minami and Zena.

They have 3 songs among the most popular in Korea.

The group had a start under extremely humble conditions. The agency THE MUZE Entertainment, founded with an initial capital of only 10 million won by a small group of three people (a CEO, a director, and a general employee), lacked a structured team or resources at the beginning. The executives themselves managed the finances, drove the van to take the members to their appointments, and had to ask staff from other agencies for help backstage with normally simple tasks due to their lack of experience in the field. The modest start meant the group secured only one TV show performance after their debut, which motivated the directors to distribute flyers and hand-written letters at broadcasting stations to gain attention for the project.

The lineup of the five members involved different paths. Some were discovered through internal auditions, while others had previously competed in South Korean TV survival shows or worked on virtual projects in the entertainment industry before their official debut in the group. The group's name is related to a concept focused on the connection and memory between scents and memories.

After a start with little exposure, the group's fate changed drastically in 2026. With near-nonexistent marketing resources, the quintet began promoting themselves independently, performing at schools and creating simple content for the internet. It was the personal YouTube channel of Woni, the leader of the group, that propelled RESCENE to stardom when comic videos recorded by her and member Minami — especially a meme focused on the Geoje region — went viral on social media. This organic success caused their 2024 song "Love Attack" to suddenly rise to the top of the main South Korean charts, allowing the company to finally move the members into a suitable dorm. This massive cultural impact earned RESCENE invitations to represent cities in the country and culminated in the release of an official remake of the KARA classic Pretty Girl, with original member Nicole appearing on their first live show of the song, in 2026.
