JINI (지니) is a South Korean Female Soloist and Idol who debuted solo in 2023. She started in group Nmixx.
Jini dreamed of becoming a singer since kindergarten after watching a video performance of Kara's 'Mister'. She joined JYP in 2015 at 11 years old, and trained for 7 years before her debut with NMixx.
On December 9, 2022, JYP Entertainment announced that she would be departing from Nmixx due to personal reasons and her contract with the agency has been terminated. This came as a surprise since she was active with promotions in the group up to 3 days before the announcement. JYP also deleted all references from her from social media and posts, which is unusual and raised questions about the geniune cause of her departure.
She went on to debut as a solo artist in late 2023.
