한 Lia

Lia (리아) is a South Korean Female Artist. She started in group ITZY.

Developing a love for music and vocal performance early on, Lia spent her formative years studying internationally and attending a specialized arts school to build her foundational technique. After auditioning and joining the trainee program, she underwent intensive vocal coaching to refine her smooth tone and wide vocal range. Navigating the high-pressure evaluation system alongside candidate peers, she focused heavily on building the physical stamina required for complex dance routines while maintaining vocal control. Her unique vocal color and steady live execution made her an essential addition as the main vocalist of ITZY.

In September 2023, Lia went on a temporary hiatus due to health concerns related to anxiety and extreme tension. JYP Entertainment released an official statement explaining that after medical consultations and examinations, she was diagnosed with severe anxiety and nervousness about carrying out her scheduled activities, and doctors advised that she needed rest and medical treatment. In a personal handwritten letter to fans, Lia shared that while pursuing her career, she realized she was "losing herself" and needed time off to focus on self-care and recovery.

Her break lasted about ten months.
