한 Jennie

Jennie (제니) is a South Korean Female Soloist and Idol who debuted solo in 2018. She started in group Blackpink.

She have 4 songs among the most popular in Korea.

Born in Seoul, she moved to New Zealand at age eight and studied there for five years before returning to South Korea in 2010. That same year, she auditioned for YG Entertainment, singing Rihanna's "Take a Bow", and became a trainee.

During her six-year training period, Jennie gained public attention through collaborations with other YG artists. She was featured in G-Dragon's music video "That XX" (2012) and contributed to songs like Lee Hi's "Special" (2013) and G-Dragon's "Black" (2013).

Jennie officially debuted as a member of BLACKPINK on 2016. As the main rapper and vocalist, she quickly became a prominent figure in the group.

In November 2018, Jennie became the first BLACKPINK member to make a solo debut with her single "Solo." The song was a commercial success, topping South Korean charts and making her the first K-pop female soloist to reach number one on Billboard's World Digital Songs chart. Its music video also became the first by a K-pop female soloist to reach one billion views on YouTube.

In November 2023, she was awarded Honorary member of the "Order of the British Empire", 5th class, in England, along the other members of BlackPink.

After the group renewed their contract for group activities with YG Entertainment in 2023, Jennie established her own label, ODD ATELIER, to pursue individual projects with more creative freedom. In 2023, she also made her acting debut in the HBO series The Idol, for which she released the original song "One of the Girls".
