Chanelle Moon

Chanelle Moon
Chanelle Moon (문샤넬) is a South Korean Female Artist(Born in United States of America). She started in group FIFTY FIFTY.

Chanelle, born to an American father and a Korean mother, holds dual citizenship for the United States and Korea. Due to concerns about potential language issues at school, her mother spoke only English with her, which resulted in Chanelle not knowing Korean at all by the time she was scouted.

In 2019, she appeared on two episodes of JTBC's Stage K as part of an American K-Pop cover dance team. Her team won one competition by covering Red Velvet, which led to her receiving many casting offers via email. She was then scouted in Korea while on vacation in late 2020.

She subsequently trained for two years at an undisclosed company (believed to be Above Entertainment), during which time she lived at her grandmother's house. In 2023, she transferred to BELIFT LAB, under HYBE, where she trained for about a year before participating in BELIFT LAB's survival show "R U Next?". She was eliminated finishing in 11th place.

At that time, Attrakt CEO Jeon was looking for trainees for the new iteration of Fifty Fifty and asked HYBE America for recommendations. Among others, HYBE suggested Chanelle, despite her elimination from "R U Next?", valuing her mature handling of failure. Chanelle shared a significant training period with fellow Fifty Fifty member Yewon, who also became a BELIFT LAB trainee on the same day as her and was also part of "R U Next?".

She trained for a little over six months before debuting with Fifty Fifty.
