한 Seventeen

Seventeen (세븐틴) is a South Korean Boy Group that debuted in 2015. They consist of 13 members: S.Coups, Dino, DK, Hoshi, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Mingyu, Seungkwan, The8, Vernon, Wonwoo and Woozi.

They hold the 9th most Music Show Awards among all artists in Korea. They have 11 songs among the most popular in Korea.

Seventeen was formed by Pledis Entertainment through a lengthy and public training process that began as early as 2012 with the online streaming series Seventeen TV, where trainees practiced in a small basement known as the Melona Room. The group faced significant delays and financial instability within their company, leading the members to take charge of their own creative output, which eventually earned them the reputation of being self-producing idols.

They officially debuted on May 26, 2015, with a live showcase televised by MBC, making them the first male group to debut with a one-hour live broadcast. Their debut EP, 17 Carat, featured the title track Adore U and became a sleeper hit, eventually becoming the longest-charting Korean music album of the year in the United States.

Throughout their career, they have been recognized for their intricate choreography and unique structure consisting of thirteen members divided into three specialized units: Hip-hop, Vocal, and Performance. They made history as the first Korean music act to perform on the main stage of the Glastonbury Festival in 2024 and being appointed as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassadors for Youth.
